ON THE AMSTERDAM AVENUE

Sitting on the Amsterdam Avenue
like in Paris in a big box of glass
in a chinese Restaurant that has
this box in the middle of a Boulevard..

Something is knocking right by my ear
somebody knocks on the window pane
I look and see the hairy face of a man
a hobo a homeless some bags in his hands.

He gazes at my plate. He nods. He´s grimassing.
He presses his face against the glass. I´m laughing.
He stands back. Than he comes near. Spitting.
The spitt slowly runs down the window pane.

Two waiters behind the homeless now
twist his arms behind his back
one grabs him by his neck
they force him to lick his spit from the window
